They have control over the content and manage the information that is broadcasted on many different companies. They have control over both left wing and right wing media so they can decide the information that is told. The cater to both left wing, right wing and everyone in between such as The Times.

Major news story and how it has bee distributed across The Sun:
![]() |
| The Sun website |
| The Sun Twitter |
| The Sun Instagram |
The story is covered on both twitter and their website. Most recently the sun had also contrasted this story by posting about Kate Middleton. Using informal language the articles are targeting their target audience directly as The Sun is a tabloid newspaper. The twitter page articles include less words and more videos to target a younger audience who are more present on social media, whereas The Sun website has lengthier articles that an older audience may be more interested in. Having two articles about the Royal wives - one shaming Meghan, while another praises Kate can influence readers opinions of them and potentially cause an uproar of hate towards Meghan.
Political ideology: is a concept used to define a set of political beliefs, by which all newspapers are either left wing or right wing, to varying extents.
Left wing:
Broadsheets: The Guardian, The Observer, Financial Times
Tabloid: Daily Mirror
Right wing:
Broadsheets: The Daily Telegraph, The Times
Mid market: Daily express, Daily mail
Tabloid: The Sun, Daily Star
Press agency: is an organisation that gathers news reports and sells them ( or images or footage) to subscribing news institutions including papers, websites and broadcasters. Their news is as neutral and unbiased as possible - sticking to the facts. They are not publishers - they just provide informations and resources for traditional news companies. Eg. Reuters and Press Association.
